Speed train Rabz is a Lion

The 24-year-old Sibahle Ndiphiwe Maxwane, better known as Rabz, has put pen to paper and is joining the Lions Pride.

Maxwane was born in Queenstown and went to school at Dale College Boys High School in King William’s Town.

He started his rugby career at the Bulldogs before moving to Western Province. The lightning quick winger finished the 2018/19 PRO14 season as the top try-scorer with his 14 tries which earned him a spot in the Pro14 dream team, the only representative from the two South African franchise playing PRO14 rugby.

In 2019 he walked away as Cheetahs' Pro14 Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year.

Maxwane was excited about his move to the Lions and said he hopes to add value to his new team.
